Defect of Wi-Fi modem PCB; Poor communication connection; Poor Tx/Rx between display and Wi-Fi modem

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Step 1: Check all connectors between display PCB and Wi-Fi modem PCB lead wire for looseness. If loose, reconnect the housing.

  2. 2

    Step 2: With Wi-Fi function on, measure Wi-Fi PCB output at pin 5 to pin 6. Expected: not 0V or 5V (data signal). If 0V or 5V (constant), replace Wi-Fi modem.

  3. 3

    Step 3: With Wi-Fi function on, measure Display PCB output at CON101 pin 2 to pin 8. Expected: 5V. If not 5V, replace Display PCB.

  4. 4

    Step 4: Measure CON101 pin 4 to pin 8. Expected: not 0V or 5V. If fixed, replace Display PCB.

  5. 5

    Step 5: If all measurements are correct, explain to customer.
